Sierra Nevada Company, LLC Quality Control Inspector III in Englewood, Colorado

If you are a seasoned quality inspection professional looking to make an impact in a rewarding industry, join our team! As a Quality Control Inspector III, you'll be using your skills and expertise to ensure that our incoming parts, in-process production, and shipped product fulfill all quality requirements. You'll be responsible for visually inspecting our materials, parts, and products at different stages of production, as well as recording observations and making recommendations for improving processes. You'll inspect for structural flaws, internal defects, or missing welds, and accept, reject, or request rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems. You'll apply, revise, and maintain our quality standards for receiving, in-process and final inspection.

Responsibilities:

  • Track non-conform materials ensuring that they are sent back to the vendor for repair / overhaul

  • Approve and Code PR's to ensure materials are received with the proper conformance documents.

  • Perform visual receiving inspections on incoming materials.

  • Track and document PQDR's (Product Quality Deficiency Reports) and provide trend analysis for maintenance / vendor review.

  • Verify paperwork matches items received

  • Contact Vendors when requirements are not met

  • Ensure that SNC's interest are met and/or exceeded

  • Verify Geometric Dimensioning

  • Scan appropriate paperwork into Papervision

  • Conduct visual inspections for damage and FAA conformity

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and typically 5 or more years of relevant experience

  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret technical schematics and drawings

  • Knowledge and ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerance

  • Extensive experience with finished goods inspection

  • Experience with Costpoint and/or AEGIS-MES

  • Understanding of material flow in operations

  • Ability to draft work instructions and SOP's

  • Proficient with Network+, Security+, CCNA and/or A+ Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS 9100 standards

  • Basic mechanical background

  • Basic MS Office Skills (word, PowerPoint, outlook)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to draft work instructions and SOPs

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $25.24 - $34.71. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
