Location - Remote (within USA) Role and responsibilities: *Exadata Patch and release management (database, storage node, server, network, Oracle Exadata) *Develop and maintain system documentation related to your Oracle Exadata and software configuration. *Establish appropriate procedures and guidelines to pursue, track, and document service requests. *Evaluating overall Exadata system performance and providing recommendations for improving performance *Monitor and maintain critical hardware information for the compute nodes. *Monitor and address database machine alerts For Oracle Exadata New database instance creation, backup. *and recovery procedures implementation, Database administration, Performance *tuning of the database *Monitor and manage infiniband/ROCE performance. *Set up alerts and threshold criteria in Enterprise Manager Cloud Control *Database upgrade from 19C to later. Proficient in database refresh, RMAN backup, database migration and the likes Required experience: *Experience with Oracle RAC 19c and later (Administration/Upgrade/Patching).Oracle ASM (Administration/Upgrade/Patching). *Disaster Recovery Oracle DataGuard (Administration/Upgrade/Patching). *Oracle Enterprise Monitoring 13C *Excellent knowledge of Oracle Database and Exadata Administration. *Oracle Database Upgrade/Patching *Oracle Database backup and recovery tools (exp/imp, datapump, RMAN etc). *Excellent Database performance tuning skill is desired. *Administering Oracle DB on Unix environment. *Knowledge of shell scripting.

Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until 03/19/2024. The annual salary for this position is between $110,000 - $125,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program,based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
