The Facilities Maintenance and Equipment Technician is responsible for ensuring all equipment is operating safely, repairing and performing preventative maintenance on machinery and buildings at the main processing plant and bottling plant. Troubleshoot as necessary to ensure efficient operations. <p> Responsibilities include but are not limited to: <li> General maintenance with skill set on high-tech food processing machinery <li> Must have knowledge of food processing equipment and vehicle maintenance knowledge <li> Willingness to learn USDA and SQF requirements <li> Maintain documentation records required for Safe Quality Foods (SQF) <li> Be a leader of Lupo's safety team & SQF team, and provide safety training to employees <li> Assist in installation, setup and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment <li> Willingness to train and supervise employees on safe use of equipment <li> Operate a variety of hand tools from hammers, drills, etc. <li> Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, fork lifts, and other necessary and required equipment <li> Perform minor electrical, plumbing and carpentry work <li> Maintain facility grounds up to and including mowing, leaf blowing, shoveling snow from pathways and other general outside clean-up duties <li> Maintain equipment at the Federal Plant, and Lupo's Bottling, LLC <li> Maintain catering equipment <li> Maintain refrigeration and AC units <li> Maintain delivery trucks including the completion of a daily walk around <li> Receive in product <li> Work on the production floor/manufacturing area if needed <li> If the need arises for outside help with maintenance or repairs, will review and sign invoices <li> Other functions and duties as assigned

<P>Requirements: <li> Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent <li> Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle; employee is reimbursed mileage for business use of personal vehicle <li> At Least two (2) years' experience working in maintenance field with proven work experience as maintenance tech, including electrical and mechanical knowledge/experience <li> Ability to set priorities, manage projects and tasks as assigned, etc. <li> Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically <li> Flexibility <li> Strong work ethic <li> Read/write/understand instructions and Communicate effectively <li> Work with minimal supervision, as well as be a team player <li> Maintain safety <li> Must be aware of and abide by company guidelines and policies <li> Must be aware of the requirements of the Federal Inspector for the operation of a Federally inspected Meat Plant; <li> Be Reliable and punctual daily and ready to start upon start time

<P>Knowledge, skills and abilities and/or the willingness to learn: <li> Knowledge of food processing equip <li> Knowledge of refrigeration and AC equip <li> Knowledge of vehicles <li> Learn internal pest control by Ehrlich <li> Ability to accept direction and priorities from manager, assistant manager or owners <LI> Ability to perform job duties with a minimum of disruption to the operation of the business

<p>Some physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the position: <li> Frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, etc. <li> Required to climb ladders as necessary <li> Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds individually or up to 120 pounds with assistance

<p>Working in room temperatures that are 40 or less on occasion or when working in refrigerated production floor/room areas; floors may be wet and slippery as production begins and continues through work shift; refrigerated meat products kept at cold temperatures as required by USDA standards. Employees are required to maintain working conditions safe and clean, as well as strive to maintain safety, Safety Quality Foods (SQF) and USDA requirements.
