If you are a PRODUCT MANAGER looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our ELYRIA, OHIO location, you will have product management responsibility for the Professional Tools best-in-class software platforms and applications. In this role, you will guide a team that is charged with developing a unified connected experience and will build solutions, features, and applications from existing ideas, as well as help, develops new ideas based on industry experience and user insights. This role will partner with internal and external stakeholders to create an ecosystem of software products that deliver on customer and user needs and will require a unique blend of business and technical savvy. You will be responsible for the development of product strategy, roadmap, product definition, positioning, and product lifecycle management. You will possess a passion for emerging technologies and a strong bias for action and collaboration ensuring programs are delivered on time with desired results.
AS THE PRODUCT MANAGER, SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS, YOU WILL:
Define our software product roadmap based on a deep understanding of our customer and industry needs
Lead the development and execution of short and long-term marketing strategies and plans to increase revenue, maximize profit and grow market share
Specify market requirements for current and future software features and platforms by conducting market research supported by ongoing user research to support a multi-year product roadmap
Create user stories for software functionality enabling the development teams to implement the features and improvements that fulfill the acceptance criteria
Serve as product owner, prioritizing execution of product features, accepting or rejecting completed user stories as the development team completes work on each story
Drive efforts for continual improvements in the products, including bug fixes and enhancements
Identify and analyze market trends and competitive strategy
Identify opportunities for increasing customer and business value through product differentiation
Work closely with sales leaders to ensure strong collaboration on the execution of the Software Solutions Business Plan, including the launch of new products, programs, pricing, promotions, target account execution, and other business initiatives
Identify and create innovative sales programs that will yield more opportunities for the sales team

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Academic focus in marketing or similar subject matter
Minimum 5 years of experience in a product management or product development role with responsibility for software and applications or equivalent business experience
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and presentation skills including interactions with sales, senior leadership, and customer personnel
Strong analytical, quantitative skills and financial acumen
Proven track record of managing complex projects to successful completion
Ability to travel 25-30% of the time

This role has the flexibility of a remote work option up to three days a week and a core hour schedule. You can choose to flex your start and stop times given you are working during the core hours of 9:00am – 3:00pm. Since the invention of the modern pipe wrench in 1923, the 25-acre RIDGID world headquarters in Elyria, Ohio has been developing tools that help trade professionals tackle jobs faster, safer, and more accurately.
