Under the direction of the Maintenance Manger, the Maintenance Planner Supervisor assures oversight and development of the maintenance planning team strategy within the manufacturing areas. The Maintenance Planner Supervisor manages personnel to ensure timely execution of maintenance plans, ensures new equipment is properly documented, enhances operational efficiency of company assets, and reduces unplanned/planned downtime. The Maintenance Planner Supervisor will develop, establish, implement, and manage their team using key performance metrics.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Supervise the Maintenance planning functions for the following areas: Bulk (Rod, Bar & Tube, Extrusion, Billet Prep), Strip Finish Products, Beryllium Products, Primary Operations, Pebbles, Be Foils, and all essential Facility operations.

  • Leads the development of the Safety culture for areas of responsibilities with leading metrics.

  • Leads Preventive / Predictive strategy: Transitioning repetitive/preventive and predictive work to standard work templates.

  • Administers the annual performance management process for Maintenance Planners. Develops goals and periodically appraises work performance of employees and pursues appropriate action.

  • Directs the creation and modification of maintenance planning methods to meet requirements and conform to company and industry best practices.

  • Identifies, develops, and maintains a high caliber team in Maintenance Planning. Manages training of CMMS systems.

  • Lead Planning team priorities by managing regular area maintenance & operations meetings.

  • Establish, analyze, and monitor area Planning metrics. Execute follow-up/corrective actions.

  • Identify and evaluate new technology for improvement in performance of maintenance activities associated with process equipment and systems.

  • Develop standards and procedures to assure permanence and consistency of processes.

  • Actively participate in and support all principals of the continuous improvement process.

Education & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field and 2 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, we will consider candidates that have at least 5 years of relevant on-the-job related technical experience in appropriate fields.

  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, Blueprint reading

  • Exceptional leadership skills and results oriented

  • Communication skills to effectively interact with employees, internal partners and customers

  • Effective managerial skills and capabilities

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or a lawful Permanent Resident of the United States.

  • Previous Leadership experience required.

Preferred

  • Project management experience preferred.

  • 5 years Maintenance Planning experience preferred.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
