Position Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Operations , the Operations Manager is responsible for leading production activities to ensure the basic objectives of safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and productivity are consistently met, while continually improving the use of materials, labor, and equipment.
This position is part of the Operations located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, and will be on-site.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Maintaining manufacturing staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
Ensuring a safe and secure work environment, developing personal growth opportunities.
Directing and coordinating production activities through supervisory personnel, utilizing knowledge of products, technology, and production methods.
Using VES tools to plan and direct production activities, ensuring effective operations and cost factors.
Improving production efficiency by collaborating with engineering personnel on equipment modifications.
Managing lead times for supplies to maintain customer satisfaction.
Achieving financial objectives by adhering to targets, controlling costs, and improving asset utilization.
Maintaining compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives, including lean conversion manufacturing and root cause analysis of productivity issues.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration.
Minimum of 5 years in an operations/production leadership role
Experience in batch manufacturing environment with a strong preference in Chemicals industry.
Proficiency in VES Tools (Kaizen, 5S, SQDP, PSP, etc.).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Computer literate with proficiency in MS applications.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $145000 - $160000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
