KBR is seeking a Risk Management Specialist to join our team in El Segundo, CA.
KBR (formerly LinQuest) is the prime contractor on the MSEIT contract. By applying to this position, you are in consideration for KBR employment. However, you also have the option to be hired by one of our subcontractor teammates.
You will join a Systems Engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting Space Force Military Satellite Communications. You will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Risk Management activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. You will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF. You will support working groups responsible for leading technical discussions, identifying and resolving risks, requirement gaps, developing briefings, and writing and tracking action items.
The MSEIT effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the Space Force’s Space Systems Center. We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state-of-the-art Military Satellite Communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. Key Responsibilities:
Support the Gov’t program office with risk management, stakeholder communication and coordination, and risk activity planning, tracking and reporting.
Administer the Risk Management process, schedule meetings, and publish agendas and minutes.
Assist in identification and assessment of risks.
Maintain list of risks, impact statements, risk exposure assessments, and mitigation plans.
Proactively work with risk owners to track changes to risk handling plans and risk assessments.
Build Risk Management briefings, document minutes and track accomplishment of action items.
Coordinate, record, and implement the results of customer decisions.

Qualifications:
Required:
Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
3+ years’ experience in program-level risk management
5+ years’ experience working in an engineering environment
Expert level knowledge of the Risk Management process
Working level knowledge with Risk Management tools
Ability to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidly changing environment
Demonstrated ability to coordinate with numerous stakeholders
Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Desired:
BS in technical field, such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science
Expert level knowledge with Risk Management tools
Certifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP)
PMP certification
Knowledge and experience in Jira and Confluence
Experience working within an SE&I environment or contract
Experience working on DoD programs
Understanding of the DoD acquisition process
Experience working with military and government representatives, FFRDC (Aerospace) representatives, development contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors
Active Secret or higher clearance
Basic Compensation: $120,000-$150,000 in California
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
