The Learning Design Manager role at Moss Adams is an exciting and challenging opportunity for someone who is passionate about learning and development. The manager will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of high-quality learning solutions for Moss Adams University, a customizable curriculum offering structured and on-demand learning resources for employees. Working closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts, the manager will identify training needs and design and develop materials in a variety of modalities. As a leader, the Manager will guide and coach a team of learning designers, manage their workload, and own the intake and maintenance of design projects, as well as the teams tracking and project management tools, and the design and development budget. They will also manage the work outsourced to external vendors while building and maintaining those vendor relationships. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the design and development of Moss Adams University learning solutions, including analysis of training needs, assessment of scope, alignment to strategic goals, consultation on design and compliance requirements, content maintenance, evaluation of impact and effectiveness, and communication to stakeholders

  • Collaborate with program leads, subject matter experts and key stakeholders and serve as an internal consultant on design and development needs aligning to strategy and business goals

  • Lead a team of internal and external instructional designers providing guidance and coaching while managing workloads and priorities, and serving as point of escalation

  • Design and develop innovative and engaging programs and/or learning solutions and experiences through a variety of modalities, such as eLearning, instructor-led training, and job aids while ensuring materials are in compliance with regulatory requirements

  • Collaborate across the People Development team to establish and enhance operational processes, tools, and templates to support efficiencies of scalabilty for growth

  • Create and manage agreements, invoices, and statements of work for outsourced work, build effective vendor relationships, project manage outsourced work within budget, provide education and guidance on Moss Adams processes, tools, and resources, andmitigate risk as needed

  • Manage prioritization of design que and forecast resource needs while mitigating risk and aligning to budget

  • Improve and increase efficiencies by staying informed on industry trends and best practices in instructional design and development, as well as the available technologies and instructional design systems, and make recommendations accordingly

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; emphasis in a related field preferred

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and developing training materials in a complex organization required; including demonstrated involvement with building and leading high-performing teams and fostering an inclusive culture; experience in professional services environment preferred

  • Prroficiency in eLearning authoring tools and knowledge of instructional design principles and industry standards, as well as a learning portfolio that demonstrates ability to solve real business and customer problems using strong graphic design and technical writing skills is desired

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand problems, think critically, and identify creative solutions

  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to own and drive project schedules from start to finish, including managing peers and individuals senior to you

  • Ability to develop relationships, build rapport, and effectively interface with all levels within the firm

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • Ability to travel as needed, approximately 10%
