Eaton Corporation Production Supervisor 1st Shift in El Paso, Texas

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Production Supervisor 1st Shift based out of our El Paso, TX location.

Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the work location(s) listed on this posting. No relocation is being offered for this role.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80250.03 - $117700.04 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

The Production Supervisor is responsible for creating a setting an environment in which employees become involved, responsible, and self-motivated. This role will be responsible for; Continuous Improvement activities, Execution of Processes that provide Quality Products, administration of organization policies and support activities for all plant objectives, and follow-up on training plans for team members. You will drive the processes in the department through the Eaton Business Systems, assist the plant leadership team in the development of processes to achieve a zero-incident culture, maximize output, maintain machinery, reduce overall costs, and through these improvements exceed the customer’s expectations. Make sure that the organization's decision-making is based on a process-oriented culture – to ensure the linkage from strategy to actions.

In this function, you will:

• Establish and maintain a positive, engaged employee team sentiment through the application of Eaton’s Leadership Attributes and aspirational Goals. Create and maintain a high level of employee morale.

• Follow up on training and development of hourly team members, as well as providing coaching and oversight to dotted-line functional team members. Clearly define and inform expectations, providing positive reinforcement when met and providing coaching and counseling as necessary when not met.

• Provide documentation of all disciplinary actions taken against employees who violate health and safety rules and underperform in any category of the employee expectations and metrics.

• Champion a Safety Culture through using MESH tools, safety best practices, and empowering all employees to take responsibility for their own safety as well as that of everyone around them.

• Utilize the Tier Meeting process to track and assess key operational metrics and implement actions and methods to improve operational performance. Direct day-to-day activities in production areas, including manpower movement, job assignments, time/attendance/vacation data, and pull the workload to meet all customer needs in the most effective manner.

• Lead and/or champion EBS Pull (needle mover), or main business projects assigned to her/him to meet business objectives and goals.

• Inform the department’s employees on subjects relating to policy problem resolution, department objectives, and quality issues.

• Control and manage overtime, tools, and other budgets within current guidelines.

• Manage payroll, attendance, performance reviews, and other administrative needs in a timely and accurate manner.

• Manage the work and safety performance of your workforce and document accordingly

• Perform timely investigations of accidents, identification of root cause and rapid correction of contributing factors, and Inform commitment to health and safety.

• Support the deployment of the different EBS functional initiatives important for the business, CIF (Continuous Improvement Framework), EQMS (Quality), ELSS (LEAN), and others

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution is required.

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in Manufacturing or Operations required.

• Experience managing/supervising teams required.

• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of El Paso, TX will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering field preferred.

• Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

• 1-3 years of experience managing a team.

• Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred.

• Six Sigma Belt / LEAN Certification preferred.
