POSITION PURPOSE:

The incumbent will revise and pack all required items in each sales order or shipment. Comply with customer’s specific packing. Keep work area and equipment organized to avoid clutter. Follow all safety rules and instructions as defined in the Distribution Center Policies and Procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide support to management in the El Paso Distribution Center as follows:

  • Revise Work Order pick list to assure all components were picked correctly.

  • Re-pack or assemble WO good as instructed on single bill of material.

  • Properly identified boxes, skids and shipments according to packing procedures

  • Properly seal or tape packed boxes

  • Report any material discrepancies.

  • Unpack and pack stats according to Private label procedure.

  • Perform basic maintenance on packers equipment such as tape dispensers, Zebra printers or PC

  • Other duties as assigned.

SPECIFIC TYPES OF KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

Read, write, add, and subtract decimals and fractions. Position holder should have experience with warehouse functions and equipment. Experience with radio frequency terminals is a plus. Must be able to lift a maximum of 50lbs.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Packing and re-packing experience

  • Basic computer skills

  • Use raw material to repack finish goods

  • Open communication with co-workers

  • Maintain productivity log

  • Maintain 5’s on work area

  • Follow safety rules

  • Return all equipment to its location.

  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • 6 – 12 Months warehouse experience in material handling, written and verbal instructions in English & Spanish and safety procedures.

  • Ability to multi-task and handle numerous details simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.

  • Be able to use manual or electric pallet jack.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employee will be exposed to moderate noise level. Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold. High forklift traffic.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employee must be able to work standing, frequent bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, pushing and pulling of parts, lift up to 50 lbs. Move boxes 50% of the time or more.
