Description

A leading CPA firm in El Paso, TX is seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused professional to join their team. This role is integral to supporting multiple clients with their bookkeeping needs while providing an outstanding customer experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage bookkeeping responsibilities for a portfolio of clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and standards.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.

  • Maintain general ledgers and provide clients with regular financial updates as needed.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and providing exceptional service.

  • Collaborate with the CPA team to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data for tax preparation and planning purposes.

  • Assist in developing tailored solutions to meet each client’s unique accounting needs.

  • Educate clients on best practices for financial record-keeping and address any questions or concerns.

    Requirements

  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in a public accounting or CPA firm environment.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel (basic formulas, pivot tables, etc.).

  • Strong knowledge of general accounting practices and procedures.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first approach.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and clients concurrently, ensuring deadlines are met.

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Knowledge of payroll processing or tax preparation is a plus, but not required.
