We are looking to hire a Body Prep Manager ( Maintenance Background ).
Responsibilities:
Plans and oversees work to meet production and quality requirements while making effective use of labor, material, and equipment.
Coordinates railcar transport of raw materials, orders necessary body material and verifies shipment receipts.
Coordinates the flow of material through the body prep process.
Establishes, maintains, and analyzes budgets, records, and other controls to keep costs at a minimum consistent with efficient operations.
Manages demurrage costs.
Ensures operations are within specifications.
Evaluates selection of new associates in hiring process.
Conducts training on new procedures and oversees new hire training.
Coaches and reviews performance of direct reports.
Ensures safe and healthful working conditions and an organized work environment.
Promotes and adheres to all safety and health policies and procedures within the plant.
Develops an effective organization capable of meeting objectives.
Ensures employees complete required training.
Performs other related duties as required.
Education and Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, and or other manufacturing-related degrees, preferred.
Knowledge of ceramic manufacturing and quality standards preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Experience:
Five (5) or more years of experience, preferred.
Strong background in Facility Maintenance, a plus.
Competencies:
Strong communication and listening skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, conflict resolution skills, and ability to analyze, plan and schedule.
Bilingual (English/Spanish).
