Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-orientedMechanical Engineerto join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible to support manufacturing process, resolve product performance issues, and the design, development, and continuous improvement of RF connectors and cable assembly components. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, sales, and customers, to support product development, tooling, and automation initiatives.
Essential Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for RF connectors using CAD tools (e.g., Autodesk Inventor/ACAD, SolidWorks).
Create detailed drawings, 3D models, and specifications for manufacturing.
Work directly with internal and external customers to identify tooling and fixture requirements for assembly and testing.
Develop and implement automation solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency and consistency.
Conduct root cause analysis and structured problem-solving for product and process issues.
Apply Design of Experiments (DOE) to validate design and process improvements.
Support prototype development, testing, and validation of new products.
Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve design or process challenges.
Lead efforts to optimize manufacturing processes for RF connector production, focusing on cost reduction, cycle time reduction, and improved product quality.
Evaluate and recommend new equipment, tools, and technologies that can improve production capabilities.
Understanding of aerospace and defense industry standards (e.g., IPC, ISO 9001, AS9100, Mil Standards) and regulatory requirements
Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Document engineering changes, test results, and design iterations.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
5+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in RF/microwave or electronics-related manufacturing.
Proficiency in CAD software (Autodesk Inventor/ACAD preferred).
Experience in tooling and fixture design.
Familiarity with automation technologies and integration in manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining, plating, and assembly.
Experience with root cause analysis, DOE, and other problem-solving methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with customers and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with FEA tools and mechanical simulations.
Knowledge of materials used in RF applications (e.g., brass, stainless steel, PTFE).
Familiarity with RF connector standards (e.g., SMA, N-type, TNC).
Experience with ERP and PDM systems.

Equal Pay Act Range
Annual salary range is from $137,500.00 to $205,700.00, plus benefits & incentive plan.
