Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic / Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic / Technician to join our team. This role involves conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and hydraulic issues, and performing scheduled maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and mechanical systems to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. You will be responsible for maintaining equipment within a large production and machine shop manufacturer, working across multiple buildings on-site.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections to identify and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues.

• Conduct scheduled maintenance and repairs on hydraulic and mechanical systems.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic and mechanical system issues using advanced tools and techniques.

• Conduct thorough inspections of hydraulic components and mechanical systems to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on hydraulic and mechanical equipment within a large production/machine shop manufacturer.

• Address less technical and less urgent maintenance tasks during the 3rd shift.

• Handle minor facilities tickets such as painting, changing light bulbs, and changing door knobs.

Essential Skills

• Experience troubleshooting conveyor systems, pumps, VFD's, sensors, and motors up to 480V.

• Ability to work independently as there is only one other technician on this shift.

• Experience with hydraulic maintenance, conveyor maintenance, pneumatics, and machine maintenance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Capability to handle minor facilities tickets and act as the first line of defense before hiring a contractor.

Work Environment

Work in a large production/machine shop campus with multiple buildings. The shift is from 10:30pm to 6:00am, with a shift differential. There is minimal production during the 3rd shift, allowing you to focus on general maintenance tasks and immediate trouble calls. The work environment includes hydraulic, electrical (480V or less), and general electrical tasks, providing a variety of responsibilities and opportunities to enhance your skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of El Cajon, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
