The Work

As a Senior Project Engineer, you will:

•As the for F-35 Training Systems production and sustainment contracts, your role involves managing the Training Product Change Request (TPCR) process within the Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM) suite. You will be responsible for overseeing, controlling, and reporting on every phase of the TPCR process, from initiation to completion.

•To accomplish this, you will work closely with system engineering, hardware engineering, configuration management, development, and infrastructure teams in a collaborative setting. This collaborative approach will enable you to drive cost-effectiveness into our products while ensuring that training system requirements and regulatory compliance are upheld.

•In essence, your position will oversee the entire TPCR process for F-35 Training Systems production and sustainment contracts, ensuring that all stages are managed efficiently, effectively, and in compliance with all relevant requirements and procedures

•This role may involve the candidate being presented with stretch assignments and other duties to support multiple business functions.

•Travel may be expected up to 10% of the time

The perfect candidate for this role should be self-motivated, demonstrate strong communication and technical proficiency, have experience working in challenging environments, and possess a solid understanding of engineering terminology and language.

A level 3 employee is typically mid-career and has 3 to 5+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

-Proficient in utilizing a range of tools, including SharePoint, JIRA, Microsoft Office Suite, ePDM Windchill.

-Advanced Excel skills, with a strong understanding of how to use pivot tables to analyze data.

Desired Skills:

Knowledgeable about ELM to a reasonable extent, with potential for further development.

Has knowledge of and experience with the Training Product Change Request (TPCR) and Training Product Development Process (TPDP) procedures.

Adept at presenting to senior management.

Knowledgeable in CM best practices and able to implement them effectively in a variety of contexts.

Experience with process improvement methodologies and tools, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile, and a strong desire to drive continuous improvement in engineering processes and workflows.

Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team setting.

Proven experience in managing multiple tasks and working in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with process improvement and a strong attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to comprehend and convey technically-oriented information using various electronic tools relevant to the role.

Ability to break down complex information and concepts into smaller, manageable parts.

Capacity to think critically and make informed decisions.

Proficiency in analyzing data and identifying patterns and trends.

Ability to evaluate information from multiple sources and draw meaningful conclusions.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
