The Work

As a First Line Engineering Associate Manager, you will:

• Be responsible for coordinating subordinate recruitment/retention, developing training plans

• Work with employees to develop career plans and employee performance monitoring and reviews for a combined group of System Engineers who focus on curriculum development.

• Facilitate the deployment and use of best practices, tools, and processes on our programs and work with the cross-functional stakeholders to ensure projects are staffed properly and the organization’s staff is meeting all business commitments.

• Be responsible for submitting CDRLs in accordance with applicable contracts, as well as tracking and purchasing the Team’s software licensing.

Please Note: : This position will require the selected candidate to have or obtain a Secret level U.S. government security clearance before starting with Lockheed Martin, as well as obtain a Special Access Program U.S. government security clearance within a reasonable time after starting the position. U.S. citizenship is a requirement for consideration.

You're the skilled leader with a background in Engineering, blending expertise in team coordination, employee development, and project management to ensure seamless operations. Your adeptness extends to implementing best practices and managing contractual responsibilities like CDRL submissions and software licensing procurement.

A level 4 employee is typically senior-career and has 7 to 9+ years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

-Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical/business discipline

-Thorough understanding of program, functional, and process metrics including Earned Value Management (EVM)

-Experience with Cost Account Management (CAM)

-Proficiency with MS Office suite (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Desired Skills:

- Masters degree preferred

-Current final secret security clearance with investigation within 5 years

- Currently possess F-35 Program special access

- Familiarity with F-35 program requirements

- Project Management experience

- Experience with Atlassian suite of products (Jira, Confluence)

- Experience in Systems Engineering input for Proposals and development of basis of estimates (BOEs)

- Prior leadership and people management, to include employee recruitment/retention, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignment, salary, recognition/disciplinary actions, and career development

- Prior experience with instructional content development and/or Training Needs Analysis

- Experience with Risk Management principles and Cost Savings initiatives

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
