POSITION SUMMARYThe Revenue Cycle Systems and Training Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the administration of multiple Business Office applications, system or services which is normally multi-functional or widely integrated across multiple departments and services. The duties include monitoring support staff with reviewing, analyzing and modifying programming systems, testing and debugging of database in both live and test. The supervisor will also maintain documentation of any modifications and process changes made to any tables and parameters of the various programming system. The supervisor will also oversee the training programs and assists in user training as well as write policies and procedures documenting the appropriate steps to achieve desire results for specific systems. The Supervisor maintains an in-depth expertise on the assigned applications, system or service and is responsible for the innovative enhancement of the system use.
The Supervisor is also responsible for assisting in the maintenance, testing, upgrades, build and implementation of all Revenue Cycle System and related financial software. The Primary Duties include but not limited to, the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, to determine system functional specifications and configuring the software according to those specifications. This position is also accountable for documenting decisions and facilitating communication with various levels of end-users including creating training materials. The Supervisor works in conjunction with other areas within revenue management, information technology and external departments to insure coordinated activities with respect to all revenue cycle and financial applications. Cross trains with other areas as assigned. This position demonstrates an understanding of Revenue Management processes and requirements contained within each area of Revenue Management. This includes, but is not limited to Electronic Health Record Systems, Billing Systems, Patient Access Systems, Claims Editing and Processing Systems, Account Follow Up and Resolution, Cash Processing, Coding, Charge Capture, and Financial Management. Individual must also understand how other departments impact Revenue Management processes.The Supervisor Revenue Cycle Systems and Training is also responsible for collaborating with Professional Revenue Cycle Business Partners to align finance and revenue cycle strategy with operations including front line training programs, strategy and yearly competency.The Supervisor will work with Training and Systems manager in providing continuous improvement input by using lean methodologies and deploying development programs in conjunction with other revenue cycle areas to create Revenue Cycle Operational Excellence for both Acute and Professional Business lines.The Supervisor is also required to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Power Point and Share Point, Skype, Litmos, McKesson Star, Cerner Rev Cycle, Cerner Practice Management, Relay Clearance, Assurance, AHIQA, Escort, XR2.
