Computer Scientist
ATEC is looking for a Computer Scientist to support the Terminal Second level Engineering (TSLE) System Engineering & Field Support Team. Applicant will serve as a member of the team that is deeply involved in the full deployment, Integration and Field Support life cycle of multiple projects.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work collaboratively with a team or as an individual on each assigned project to meet deadlines and deliverables
Work well in a dynamic environment where requirements and deadlines evolve during the course of the project
Monitor NAS system, software and FAA procedural requirements when providing STARS deployment support, testing and interface of software and computer system
Ascertains STARS/TAMR and Elite system being deployed are supportable, maintainable and certifiable
Respond to Field calls and issues, Gather Facility Data. Load software, firmware, adaptation and configuration
Ascertains user requirements, performs system-wide analysis and functional allocations, exhibits an understanding of the requirements and of the responsive approach to the customer, and satisfies the customer requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
Required:
Computer & Information Science Degree
Networking and Troubleshooting skills
Preferred:
Computer programming language
Operating System
EDUCATION/YEARS of EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor’s degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and seven (7) years of related work experience in a computer science or math field
OR
- Master’s Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and five (5) years related work experience in a computer science or math field.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
Applicants selected will be subject to a government investigation
Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 years
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Located at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center, Pomona, NJ
Requiring light travel
PAY RANGE:
- $65,000 – $83,000
