Job Title: Designer and DrafterJob Description

An Engineering Technician serves as the technical resource for providing engineering, product, and installation information necessary to execute new and reconstruction cooling tower projects.

Responsibilities

  • Generate installation and fabrication drawings, along with bills of materials, for basic cooling tower components with supervision.

  • Assist with field problem resolution, design and development of new components, and cooling tower inspections as required.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel.

  • 0-3 years of experience in detailing and application of structural, mechanical, and materials detailing and application skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Product experience in cooling tower design is preferred but not required.

  • Experience with all materials of construction including lumber, fiberglass, steel, and concrete is a plus.

  • Experience in practical construction and assembly of products.

  • Ability to communicate and cooperate effectively with personnel.

  • Willingness to travel as required.

Work Environment

The work environment includes working with a premier cooling tower designer, manufacturer, and contractor. The company provides research-powered solutions for customer needs in the power generation, industrial, refrigeration, and HVAC evaporative cooling markets. The company offers new and replacement field-erected cooling towers and a variety of cooling tower aftermarket services, including replacement parts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
