We are actively hiring a Mechanical Integrity Engineer to support a one-of-a-kind facility in Edwardsport, IN. The 618-megawatt IGCC facility is one of the cleanest and most efficient coal-fired power plants in the world. It emits less sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulates than the plant it replaces – while providing more than 10 times the amount of megawatt-hours. There is no other plant of this kind in the world, as the equipment and technology are all state-of-the-art. This is a unique and long-term career opportunity.
Job Description
Develop and manage Mechanical Integrity programs to ensure the reliability of equipment and systems and compliance to PSM program.
Develop inspection strategy utilizing RBI analysis
Train and mentor plant personnel on best practices for equipment maintenance and inspection.
Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to enhance plant reliability and efficiency.
Perform detailed analyses of equipment failures to identify root causes.
Develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Conduct regular inspections of piping systems and valves to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Identify and address potential issues such as corrosion, wear, and leaks.
Provide technical guidance on the maintenance of heat exchangers to optimize performance.
Develop maintenance schedules and procedures for heat exchange equipment.
Monitor and analyze heat exchanger performance data to identify areas for improvement.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
6+ years of experience in Mechanical Integrity Engineering, preferably in similar industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of equipment failure analysis techniques and tools.
Proficient in conducting piping and valve inspections.
Experience with heat exchange systems and maintenance practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred but Not Required - Certification in mechanical integrity or related areas.
Preferred but Not Required - Familiarity with industry standards such as API, ASME, and OSHA.
Preferred but Not Required - Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Work Environment
This position will be working with one of the largest utilities in the country, and this 618-megawatt IGCC facility is one of the cleanest and most efficient coal-fired power plants in the world. It emits less sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, and particulates than the plant it replaces – while providing more than 10 times the amount of megawatt-hours. This position works onsite at the IGCC plant and the typical work schedule is 5 to 6 days per week, but never more than 7 days straight. Work days can last up to 8 to 10 hours. This plant features state-of-the-art equipment and technology, making it a unique work environment.
Compensation
Target compensation is $65/hour to $70/hour, but can be somewhat flexible depending on experience.
Paid Holidays include: NYD, MLK, Good Friday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and 2 additional floating holidays.
Paid Time Off at 2 weeks per year.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
