ASRC Federalrequiresa highly motivated Systems Safety Engineer to supporttheASTROS Contract. We are looking for someone with a desire to support cutting edge research in the build-up of test facilities. The successful candidate will be part of a team of that supports our Test areas by performing planning analysis, will review the process searching to eliminate hazards and work on test procedures.ASRC Federal issupporting cutting edge propulsion systems testing at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and we are looking to add to our team of great people to be a part of this research.

Key Role:

  • Be responsible to engage with Test Area Leadership and Safety Leadership to perform Hazard identification and identify all potential hazards within the system being designed and built.

  • Perform Hazard Analysis on identified hazards to understand their causes and potential consequences.

  • Perform Risk Assessment by evaluating the likelihood and severity of potential hazards.

  • Provide Risk Mitigation in order to eliminate or reduce identified risks.

  • Experience performing system safety on industrial environments. .

  • Attend test program concept briefs and offer requirements to assist the test program start their build-up in compliance with safety, environmental and quality.

  • Manage a portfolio of test projects and ensure the project is meeting the Safety and Quality requirements.

  • Build FMEAs for every test site supported.

  • Evaluate all test program standard operating procedures and test operations procedures and resolve all safety issues and coordinate with quality assurance manager to analyze all safety requirements.

  • Participate in various safety reviews and recommend modifications to existing design and ensure compliance to all organization requirements and administer all human safety.

  • Participate in all test activities, evaluate all system engineering documents, and ensure compliance to all safety requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience

  • BS Degree

  • Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance
