ASRC Federalrequiresa highly motivated Mechanical Technician to supporttheASTROS Contract as an Engineering Technician IV. We are looking for someone with great Mechanical ability, Heavy Equipment and possess some Welding ability. ASRC Federal issupporting cutting edge propulsion systems testing at the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) and we are looking for the best people to be a part of this research.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will have experience in the following:
To ensure not only they are safe but the team they work with are protected. If a hazard is spotted the team is warned and aware.
Basic knowledge of building construction and components (HVAC, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and landscaping).
Receive daily instructions and provide feedback and complete work with minimal supervision.
A person that can prioritize tasks in constantly changing environment
Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment
Will be required to work overtime and or work different shifts with little notice
Requirements:
Expert level experience in running conduit and in bending tubing.
The ability to Weld is a plus.
Ability to operate equipment, like a Crane, Loader, Backhoe and Forklift.
Experience flaring tube and use of Aerospace connectors.
Must place Safety of self and others ahead of everything else. All support must be well thought out, with safety in mind, before started.
Must have great customer service skills and able to communicate the status of jobs and understand deadlines.
Must have ability to work within a defined schedule and communicate any deviations.
Must be able to read a blueprint.
Must know about and be able to use basic hand tools.
Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
Must be able to gain access to the customer’s computer networks.
Will be required to work Overtime or support different work shifts with little to no notice.
Will be required to work in the Mojave Desert. The weather outdoors can be extremely hot or extremely cold.
Education/Experience:
HS Graduate or Equivalent
5-7 years of related experience.
