Sierra Nevada Company, LLC Logistics Manger I in Edwards AFB, California

responsible for the movement of materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through our production and inventory process to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials. You will lead your team to ensure the successful completion of these tasks with varying scheduling requirements. You'll assist with troubleshooting potential receiving or shipping issues, while tracking production and material deficiencies. You will also maintain focus of on time deliveries through our material management system, allowing us to execute successful programs and product life cycles.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining Accurate Inventory Controls

  • Managing Government Furnished Material (GFM)

  • Shipping/Receiving both International and US

  • Assisting with Multiple Government Audits & Agency Surveillances (DCAA, DCMA)

  • Continuous Improvement Initiatives - Highlighting pitfalls/roadblocks/concerns to the Field Site

  • Manager before detrimental impacts occur

  • Practical Supply Chain/Logistics Principles/Applications

  • Management Coordination and Communication between various Departments

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field of study

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience, and vice-versa.

  • Typically, 6+ years of progressive logistics experience, which includes 0-2+ years of management experience.

  • Understanding of ITAR regulations as they apply to the import and export of goods

  • Advanced skills with inventory control software and Microsoft Office suite

  • Relevant experience working with logistics/warehouse environment and warehouse management systems

  • Experience with the practical application of Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques

  • Ability to travel extensively, often overseas

  • Prior experience with handling and managing hazardous/dangerous goods and materials

  • Previous management experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence

  • Basic knowledge of flightline operational schedules.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Familiarity with Edwards AFB

  • AvPro software experience

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $94,345.12 - $129,724.54. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
