Job Title: Environmental Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

This position involves managing site investigation and remediation projects throughout New Jersey. The role requires a blend of fieldwork and office tasks, including correspondence with clients, subcontractors, and the NJDEP, writing closure and summary reports, and delineating contamination plumes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the management of site investigation and remediation projects across New Jersey.

  • Coordinate correspondence with clients, subcontractors, and NJDEP.

  • Prepare and write closure and summary reports.

  • Conduct fieldwork to delineate contamination plumes and collect post-remediation soil samples.

  • Manage projects from start to finish over a period of several years.

  • Execute groundwater and soil sampling activities.

  • Coordinate project schedules efficiently.

  • Perform technical report writing and ensure compliance with NJDEP regulations.

  • Evaluate and remediate Underground Storage Tanks (USTs).

  • Handle approximately 15-20 projects simultaneously.

Essential Skills

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification.

  • Experience in site investigation and Underground Storage Tank compliance.

  • Knowledge of NJDEP regulatory requirements and report writing, including Preliminary Assessments, Site Investigations, Removal Action Report Plans, and Remedial Action Reports.

  • Proficiency in environmental remediation and project management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.

  • Subsurface evaluator license is a plus.

  • Experience with vapor intrusion and environmental compliance.

Work Environment

The office is located in Somerset County and operates Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm, with overtime available if needed. The team consists of about 14 staff members, including scientists, project managers, and LSRPs/PGs. The position offers a mix of fieldwork (50%) and office work (50%) and provides opportunities to work on a diverse range of projects.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $52.88/hr.
