Maintain assigned areas in a clean, sanitary, safe, orderly, and attractive manner for patient, guest, and employee comfort and convenience. Work to be completed in accordance with established procedures and as directed by supervisor, including the Director of Environmental Services or designee. Follows all facility, state/federal, and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

Performs assigned dutiesin accordance withfacility policies and procedures, and state/federal guidelines to ensure facility is clean, floors aremaintained, and linen is cleaned and distributed for residents. Follow all guidelines for Infection Control as per OSHA.

Housekeeping:

Trash is disposedofand garbage is emptied as per assignment.Providesclean and sanitary living conditions for the Residents and staff.

  • Empties trash from Resident rooms

  • Cleans dining room,tablesand chairs

  • Cleans utility room

  • Cleans and checks supplies in Resident rooms

  • Cleans bathrooms available according to Resident presence

  • Maintains all cleaning equipment

Floorman:

Complete floor cleaning and maintenance tasks as assigned.

  • Dusts and mops all floors, main corridor, days rooms, hallways, dining rooms and PT room

  • Cleans, mops and resupplies restrooms,tubrooms

  • Takes trash off all floors

  • Picks up outside ground area

  • Sweeps and mops stairwells

Linen:

Responsible for a full range of laundry duties tomaintaina fresh linen supply and care of Resident’s personal clothing.

  • Secures soiled linen hampers and clothing from designated areas and transport to laundry in covered containers

  • Sorts and washes linen and clothing

  • Dries and fold linen and clothing and returns to supply area and patient room

  • Maintains hampers and carts in clean, sanitary condition

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  •  Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work at heights including ladder and roof.

  •  Must be able tooperateand use all equipment and supplies in a safe and efficient manner consistent with their intended purpose so that equipment, facility property, and/or individuals are not damaged or injured.

  •  Must use good judgment in the performance or assigned duties and report any conditions that affect workload and/or assigned duties to supervisor.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  •  Computer skills

  •  Long-term care facility experience

  •  Prior work experience with geriatric and disabled populations.

  •  Bi-lingual (Spanish)
