Are you currently looking for a new position? Located in Middlesex County, a company in the Wholesale Distribution industry has partnered with Robert Half to find an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk. As the Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk, you will have the opportunity to become an integral part of a company in the Wholesale Distribution industry. Career growth and quick advancement is available in this progressive department. The Accounts Payable Clerk tasks will consist of matching and batching code invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks.
What you get to do every single day
Open, sort, and distribute daily department mail
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Fullfill full-cycle A/P
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Facilitate internal and external audits as needed
Carry out additional tasks as assigned
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Strong attention to detail
Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Invoice Processing experience preferred
Oracle experience preferred
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Experience with account reconciliation
Proficiency in Oracle
