Your Role:

As a Security Officer , you will play an essential role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for everyone in the hospital – from patients to staff to visitors. Your actions will have a direct impact on the safety of our community, ensuring that M Health Fairview continues to provide the high-quality care we’re known for.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Safeguard the community by patrolling designated areas and responding quickly to incidents, ensuring the security of patients, staff, and visitors.

  • Prevent theft and vandalism through proactive surveillance and reporting.

  • Use your de-escalation skills and conflict resolution techniques to handle difficult situations with professionalism and calm.

  • Respond to high-risk situations , all while staying focused on keeping the environment safe and maintaining excellent customer service standards.

  • Document daily activities accurately and professionally to keep everyone in the loop and ensure proper follow-up.

Schedule:

  • Casual FTE- flexible scheduling

  • Day, evening, night shifts

  • as needed weekend rotations

What We’re Looking For:

Required:

  • Experience: 2 years of security, customer service, or military experience OR an Associate’s degree and 1 year of security/customer service experience OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

  • License/Certification: Valid Class D Driver’s License and a clean DMV record.

Preferred:

  • Previous hospital security experience .

  • Certifications like Certified Peace Officer (POST) or Emergency Med Tech Basic (EMT-B) .
