POSITION SUMMARY:

The VP of Product for Optum Insight’s Provider RCM Software and Services team is charged with the success and continuous improvement for Optum Market Performance Partnership customers. The mission will be to align with Optum operations and technology teams to provide world-class service to our customers by delivering end-to-end platforms, focused product features and enhancing overall performance. This will require a high level of strategic thinking and ability to develop internal and external partnerships. It will involve highly complex financials, incentive structures, and operational SLAs. This initiative will be a key component of the Optum Insight growth plan, with potential to drive hundreds of millions of TCV.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with product owners, operational and technology leaders to drive the success and continuous improvement for Market Performance Partnership customers. This will involve pulling together assets and capabilities from the RCM software portfolio, third party offerings and creating new innovations.

  • Formulate product strategy, financial plans and execution plans for the business and be responsible for the product P&L, generating YoY double digit growth.

  • Deliver against business results: revenue and IOI targets.

  • Continually improve the product and generate additional revenue opportunities, improve the customer experience, and enhance the infrastructure by leveraging existing and modern technologies.

  • Collaborate with OI Operations to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of BU products, systems, processes, and personnel designed to enable the rapid growth objectives of our organization.

  • Build and manage strategic vendor relationships. Develop and maintain relationships with internal & external contacts. Manage internal and external service providers (development, IT, operations, sales, legal, compliance, market teams, growth, etc.) to ensure the offerings meet company objectives and these large, shared services organizations are accountable to delivering effective, timely solutions.

  • Develop talent plans and strategies to attract, motivate and retain a diverse, qualified, and engaged team to fulfill current and future business needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of combined experience and a proven record of driving major transformational change, delivering measurable results and developing and leading growth programs or initiatives.

  • 10+ years of revenue cycle management leadership and operational experience

  • Experience leading and growing the P&L of a business in a healthcare organization.

  • Experience working with product development, launching new products, and thinking innovatively.

  • Skilled in organizational development, personnel management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.

  • Experience in managing budgets that include sales/bookings targets, revenue targets, client satisfaction targets, and expense targets.

  • Experience motivating, developing, coaching, and guiding people in a matrixed organization.

  • Ability to navigate and work across multiple constituents to develop, communicate, and support a company’s short-term and long-term business objectives.

  • Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to Optum’s Vision and Values.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 5+ years of combined experience in product management, delivering new product delivery and leading strategic go-to-market initiatives of diverse scope in a large matrixed software company.

  • Experience working across UHG, Optum, and UHC lines of businesses.

  • Proficient skills and knowledge of servant leadership, resilience, resourcefulness, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.

The salary range for this role is $191,800 to $364,800 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
