This Sr Financial Consultant will support the Optum Whole Health Solutions business. This role will be critical in the financial integration of Behavioral and Health Solutions by building new financial reporting to align with the channel-focused organizational structure enabling bundled product sales growth and synergies. The role will be focused on financial consolidations, forecasts, monthly reporting, analysis and financial modeling to support business leadership with meaningful data for decision-making.

If you are located in Eden Prairie, MN, you will have the flexibility to work remotely , as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges. If you are located outside of Eden Prairie, MN, you will enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. Prefer EST or CST

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages the forecast process/timeline and builds rollforward schedules to review revenue, medical and SG&A expense

  • Consolidates the forecast across all product lines, ensures accurate GL loads and completes corporate deliverables

  • Partners with the business to build 5-year long range plan financials aligned with strategic objectives

  • Develops and maintains SG&A expense allocation model for product profitability reporting by channel

  • Month-end close activities including collaborating with the accounting team on early estimates and reporting on final results with variance analysis

  • Resource for the CEO and channel leaders on YTD performance, full year outlook and progress on gap closure initiatives

  • Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting for business leadership, ensuring timely and accurate information for decision-making

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

  • 5+ years of progressive financial planning and analysis experience

  • Proficient in Excel with pivot tables, charts and complex formulas

  • Proven excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Proven to be a self-starter able to deal with ambiguity and change while prioritizing to meet aggressive deadlines

  • Proven ability to collaborate in a matrix organization while positively influencing others

  • Ability to work regular EST/CST business hours 8am-5pm

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA

  • Healthcare experience

  • Experience using Essbase/Smart View, Power BI and PeopleSoft Financials

The salary range for this role is $89,800 to $176,700 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
