Job Description

The Quality Control Chemist will perform testing and evaluations of raw materials, bulk, and finished products in accordance with written procedures, ensuring compliance with GMP requirements. This role is pivotal in maintaining product quality specifications and customer standards, utilizing data to drive improvements and uphold regulatory regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing and evaluations of raw materials, bulk, and finished products according to written procedures.

  • Ensure current standard operating and test procedures are utilized, and documentation records are accurate and compliant with GMP requirements.

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of various testing methodologies, including techniques and potential errors.

  • Maintain neat and accurate records and clean and organized work areas.

  • Ensure product quality specifications and customer standards are met and maintained to customer satisfaction.

  • Troubleshoot out-of-specification situations and perform batch adjustments as needed in batch making procedures.

  • Update test procedures and specifications as required, maintaining current reference and product standards.

  • Utilize data to focus improvement efforts, accurately recording all data in compliance with cGMP and regulatory expectations.

  • Document Key Quality Incidents and out-of-specification situations, determining root causes and suggesting possible solutions.

  • Understand and maintain a culture of 'lean action' within the department.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or similar.

  • 1-2 years of quality control industry experience in pharma, cosmetics, or food

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
