What We're Seeking A culturally aware and motivated leader to focus on ensuring compliance with all safety policies and identifying the company's and employees' needs in both areas of safety and training. This includes assessing existing programs and plans; recommending and implementing best practices; and facilitating procedures to optimize business operations. This role must also conduct regular safety inspections and performance assessments, monitoring improvements as needed. Furthermore, as the Safety and Training Manager, it is essential to lead and encourage the workforce to reach goals, all while implementing the company's safety policies and regulations, and embracing the EAS vision and mission. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Health & Safety Outline and implement training programs to educate and inform the workforce on work safety, environmental safety, and accident prevention regulations and procedures. Develop and distribute educational materials including videos, guides, and posters. Track and document accidents to understand causes and recommend changes to prevent future accidents. Perform inspections and audits of facilities, equipment and processes recommending corrections or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations. May identify and deliver the training of workplace safety champions. Training Plan, develop and administer training programs for all levels of employees and contractors, including but not limited to operations new employee job site onboarding, job task and skill training, computer system instruction, evaluation of knowledge transfer and training to meet state and federal compliance requirements. Identify developmental needs, in current and future workforce, to support training initiatives. Oversee the development of job aids, work instruction and the effective dissemination of information for reference and knowledge sharing. Incorporate multiple forms of media in instruction and develop strategy to effectively train, recognizing language barriers where they exist. Develop measurement and feedback systems to monitor training effectiveness. Develop tracking and follow up systems to verify consistent training completion. Work with Operations leaders to identify training needs, understand skill requirement changes with new business initiatives or process changes and coordinate scheduling to accommodate production requirements. Develop a solid understanding of EA Sween processes and customer requirements. Leverage external training vendors to supplement content and delivery options to improve training programs. Demonstrate strategic thinking and innovation in the areas of training program design and execution. Lead training staff by setting expectations, providing regular feedback and recognition, and coaching for maximum performance. Actively demonstrate and coach in others, the spirit of the EA. What You'll Need (Qualifications) Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred. 4-6 years of experience developing, implementing, and measuring the effectiveness of manufacturing-based training and development programs. In addition to above average skill in Microsoft Office applications, must be proficient with training development and delivery technology and applications. Excellent t chnical writing skills. Broad and current knowledge of all government and applicable industry safety regulations. Ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a fast-paced, team-based, environment. Creative approach to training delivery, content development and workforce engagement. Experience in English as an Additional Language Proven presentation and facilitation skills. Must be highly organized with good attention to detail. 1-3 years of previous supervisory experience preferred. Preferred: Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is helpful. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week). Occasional second shift or weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
