Department: Properties

Location: Eau Claire, Wisconsin

Reports To: Properties General Manager/Corporate Controller

Travel: As Required

Supervises: Accounts Payable/Receivable

Position Summary: The Controller position involves specialized work in developing and maintaining staffing and financial data for the Properties Division. This position is responsible for supplying accurate and timely information to support the Properties General Manager and Corporate Controller.

Primary Responsibilities:

Financial Review and Analysis

· Review and analyze financial statements for accuracy and discrepancies

· Study trends and inconsistencies, identifying all issues and concerns

· Collect financial data from each facility, consolidate and disseminate financial reports to Properties General Manager and Corporate Controller

· Generate annual budgets for existing facilities as well as new expansion projects

· Verify/Complete all annual reconciliations to very they are accurate and processed in a timely manner

Office Management Functions

· Develop and train all Accounting/Office staff

· Assist in interviewing, hiring, and terminating Accounting/Office staff

· Audit/Review all accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure quality, accuracy, and completeness of work product

· Assist with any outside vendors, tenants, and property owners that may have questions or problems with payments or invoices that were made to or by Menard, Inc.

· Audit/Review all rents and Common Area Maintenance payments due from tenants to verify accuracy and timeliness. This shall include reviewing and overseeing the distribution of monthly invoices and heading efforts to collect amounts due from tenants so that all tenant ledgers are balanced.

Additional Responsibilities:

· Constantly monitor work to ensure the highest level of quality.

· Assist General Manager and Corporate Controller with miscellaneous projects.

· Any additional financial/management functions as assigned by General Manager and Corporate Controller.

Skills/Requirements

Position Requirements:

· Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent work experience.

· Working knowledge of modern accounting methods and techniques

· Ability to work with Excel, Word, Outlook, Quick Books, and Pro Law..

· Must have attention to detail, and exceptional organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Must be self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
