Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and reactive repairs on CNC machines and various other equipment. This role requires proficiency in troubleshooting electrical systems and familiarity with using digital tools for logging and resolving issues.

Responsibilities

  • Receive work orders and PM schedule on an iPad and log problems, diagnoses, and resolutions digitally using MaintainX CMMS.

  • Utilize blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and PM instructions, mostly provided on the iPad.

  • Access tooling and parts through Fastenal vending and Kardex vertical carousel.

  • Perform 30% preventive maintenance (PM) and 70% reactive repairs.

  • Repair and troubleshoot pneumatic systems, adjust and replace actuators, gantry, and air cylinders in CNC machines.

  • Troubleshoot and repair motors, bearings, gearboxes, and spindles.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical components including contactors, switches, relays, drives, controllers, prox switches, sensors, and gauge probes (24V-480V components).

  • Change cards and some components in PLCs.

  • Conduct daily checks and oil changes on air compressors, cranes, and forklifts.

  • Assist in general facility maintenance.

Essential Skills

  • Knowledge of working safely with 24V-480V electrical systems.

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems with volt meters and multimeters.

  • Experience working within Lock Out Tag Out protocols.

  • Experience with CNC maintenance, robotic systems (Murata, Denso, Universal, Fanuc), and PLC troubleshooting and maintenance.

  • Ability to provide your own basic toolset (e.g., wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, adjustable wrenches).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in robotics or CNC-specific maintenance.

  • Experience in PLC troubleshooting and repair.

  • Familiarity with computers or handheld devices to log and track maintenance activities.

Work Environment

This position operates on a 3rd shift schedule from 11:00pm to 7:30am, Sunday through Thursday, with a $1 shift differential. Occasional weekend work may be required on a rotational basis. The facility is climate-controlled with air conditioning in the summer; however, it can get cold in the winter. The work environment is well-lit, with dust and coolant fumes present, but air quality is frequently tested to ensure safety. Maintenance technicians are provided a cart to navigate the facility and are encouraged to bring their own toolbox. Specialty tools are provided.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
