Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various equipment and systems within our facility. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as experience with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Receive work orders and PM schedule on an iPad using MaintainX CMMS.

  • Log problems, diagnoses, and resolutions digitally in MaintainX.

  • Utilize blueprints, schematics, work instructions, and PM instructions, mostly provided on the iPad.

  • Manage tooling and parts provided through Fastenal vending and Kardex vertical carousel.

  • Perform 30% preventative maintenance (PMs) and 70% reactive repairs.

  • Repair and troubleshoot pneumatic systems.

  • Adjust and replace components such as gantry and air cylinders in CNC machines.

  • Troubleshoot and repair motors, bearings, gearboxes, and spindles.

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical components including contactors, switches, relays, drives, controllers, prox switches, sensors, and gauge probes for 24V-480V systems.

  • Change cards and some components in PLCs.

  • Perform daily checks and oil changes on air compressors, cranes, and forklifts.

  • Assist in general facility maintenance.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with 24V-480V electrical systems.

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical systems using voltmeters and multimeters.

  • Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out protocols.

  • Capability to work safely with electrical systems.

  • Basic toolset including wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, and adjustable wrenches.

  • Experience with CNC maintenance and robotic systems such as Murata, Denso, Universal, and Fanuc.

  • PLC troubleshooting and maintenance skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with robotics or CNC specific maintenance.

  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and repair.

  • Familiarity with using computers or handheld devices for logging and tracking maintenance activities.

Work Environment

You will work primarily on a 3rd shift schedule from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM, Sunday through Thursday, with a $1 shift differential. Occasional weekend work may be required on a voluntary or rotating basis. Training will be provided for 1-2 weeks on day shift, with flexibility as needed. The facility is climate-controlled with air conditioning in the summer, though it can get cold in the winter. The work environment is well-lit, with dust and coolant fumes present (regular air quality tests ensure a safe environment). Maintenance technicians have access to carts for easy mobility around the facility and are encouraged to bring their own toolbox, though all specialty tools are provided.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eaton, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
