Kitsap County 2x6 PERMIT COORDINATOR/ PROGRAM SPECIALIST in East Port Orchard, Washington

Summary of position: The 2x6 Coordinator is responsible for reviewing and monitoring the volume of land use and site development activity permits eligible under the 2x6 criteria. This role involves overseeing staff capacity, prioritizing and recommending project assignments to ensure compliance with Senate Bill 5290's permit processing requirements, and enhance service in alignment with our process improvement efforts. The entire pay range of $26.25 - $37.08 has been posted, however, *the anticipated starting wage is $28.98. *

Virtual interviews will be scheduled for the week of September 30, 2024.  QUALIFICATIONS FOR PERFORMANCE OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Required Education and Experience

  • Associate's degree in a field related to the assigned program area; AND
  • Three years of support related work experience; OR
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the assigned program area; AND
  • One year of support related experience; OR
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and education which provides the applicant with desired skills, knowledge and ability to perform the work.

Preferred Education, Experience or Other Qualifications

  • Experience in multi-project/high volume project management
  • Experience with setting up and/or using project management software
  • Using Microsoft Office applications including SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerApps, and Teams
  • Project Management and/or Process Improvement Certification

The hourly amount for this position ranges from $26.25-$37.08. This position offers medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a pension retirement, and other voluntary benefits.
