Pay Rate: $16.50hr
Job Summary:
The Drivers Aide is responsible to assist the driver in the safety and care of the consumers we transport.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
E- Connotes Essential Functions
E-1 Maintains the health, welfare and safety of all passengers assigned to the vehicle. E-2 Assists the Driver in the loading and unloading of all passengers and in placing the passengers in seats most appropriate to their needs. E-3 Assists the Driver in any emergency. E-4 Ensures that all passengers are wearing their seatbelts and that all doors are closed and locked. E-5 Exits the vehicle whenever the Driver must back up and assists the Driver by standing at the rear of the vehicle in view of the Drivers left side rearview mirror. E-6 Follows Drivers requests. 7- Follows Driver aide requirements. 8- Adheres to proper dress code. 9- Adheres to all policies and procedures. 10- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Valid NYS drivers license High School Diploma/GED Complete and maintain SCIP and Adult CPR certification, as per IGHL policy. Able to lift at least fifty pounds at least five times per hour Able to sit for four hours at a time Able to stand and bend throughout the day
