Michigan State University(MSU) Research Associate-Fixed Term in East Lansing, Michigan

Position Summary

A postdoctoral Research Associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Eunhee Yi () at Michigan State University. We investigate the molecular mechanisms behind the extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA)'s oncogenic behaviors, which is well known as a cause of tumor heterogeneity and therapy resistance in cancers. We utilize a high-throughput image-based genetic screening platform to identify potential mechanisms.

Successful candidates will lead a project to investigate the therapy resistance mechanisms of ecDNA-containing cancer cells and develop a novel way to overcome drug resistance in ecDNA-harboring cancers.

Candidates must have a recent Ph.D. degree in a related field along with lead-author publications in top-tier journals, excellent communication and organization skills, and the ability to work independently within a research team. Candidates who pursue an independent career path are highly preferred. Expertise in cancer biology, molecular biology, cell biology, and biochemistry is also desirable. We will provide a competitive salary at the NIH postdoctoral stipend level, excellent benefits, and one-on-one mentoring for a successful research career.

This is a full-time, 12-month fixed-term position with reappointment contingent on satisfactory performance and available funding.
