Description We're looking for someone who has a strong interest in networking hardware and software. We're looking for someone well versed in interfacing, security, Internet protocols and server and network infrastructure. There is a great opportunity with Robert Half for a Network Engineer with a high attention to detail and a passion for the field. This Network Engineer role is located in East Lansing, Michigan and is a permanent opportunity.
Your responsibilities
Establish and operate network test facilities
Collaborate with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on the implementation, optimization and ongoing management of networks
Deliver high-level support and technical expertise in networking technology like hardware, hubs, bridges and routers
Use traditional and creative methods to engineer enterprise data, voice and video networks
Sustain a secure transfer of data to various locations by way of internal and external networks Requirements - An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is highly valued
2+ years networking experience
Adeptness in Firewall
Knowledge of Cisco Networking
Juniper Networks experience
Vmware Infrastructure experience
Linux Technologies experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Wireless
Network Protocols experience preferred Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
