What You Will Do:

The Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Configuration Management (CM) organization provide a unique system level vantage point of not just engine architecture, but also of how the major business units across Pratt & Whitney design, develop, deliver product and how our product are used and maintained. Our organization is looking for a highly motivated individual willing to learn the intricate details of the LCC & CM Discipline. As a LCC Analyst, you will participate in proposals and trade studies, forecast the cost impact of changes to the engine configuration and maintenance strategies to our military customers, and establish engine maintenance metrics. As a Configuration Analyst, you will perform a variety of functions including writing and processing engineer changes, creating and maintaining bills of material and providing business process consult to other organizations. Additionally, the CM and LCC disciplines support Component Improvement Process (CIP) tasks and reviews for military programs.

  • Work closely with our key internal and military customers: Program Management, Design Integration, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Component Integrated Product Teams (CIPTs), Customer Support, and the Engine Center to support LCC activities.

  • Coordinate with military customers to establish ground rules, perform Cost Effectiveness Analysis (CEAs) for changes, and present results to both military and internal customers.

  • Support initiatives of the LCC & CM department and Engine Design and System Integration (ED&SI) Customer Oriented Results & Excellence (CORE).

  • Be an individual driver of process improvement efforts to increase LCC & CM efficiency and reduce turn-time.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering and 5+ years prior relevant Life Cycle Cost, Configuration Management, Product Definition, Design, Project Engineering or similar experience, OR An Advanced Degree in Engineering and 3+ years prior relevant Life Cycle Cost, Configuration Management, Product Definition, Design, Project Engineering or similar experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance is required.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • 10% Travel

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with LCC and CM procedures, the IPD process, and the engineering change and proposal processes

  • Proficiency in Teamcenter, SAP, and Product Definition tools

  • Knowledge of cost accounting, aerospace, manufacturing, and engine repair processes

  • Task leadership abilities

  • Proven CORE proficiency level

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
