Mondelēz International is seeking a current law school student interested in hands-on experience within its legal office. Students participating in this internship should expect exposure to a wide range of legal matters encountered by our network of manufacturing and distribution centers across the United States and will support iconic brands such as Oreo, Nabisco, LU, Chips Ahoy!, Wheat Thins, and Triscuit.
The successful candidate will focus on labor and employment laws matters but will also have exposure to issues involving corporate governance, contracts, litigation, copyright, safety, real estate, tax, and data privacy matters.
Assists with legal matters which include:
Substantive areas of the law will include Labor and Employment and will likely also include special projects in Marketing and Advertising, E- Commerce, data privacy, litigation and in general support to commercial matters, mainly around the U.S.
Assist in drafting and creating presentations and slides to support functional conversations in different fields.
Legal research; review legal documents for substance, readability and technical accuracy
Develop risk assessments and mappings related to specific projects
Qualifications/Requirements:
Current law student
Demonstrated Legal Research Skills
Knowledge of legal terminology and processes
Strong organizational ability and attention to detail
Good attitude and proactive
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to distil complex information into simple terms
Highly productive with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and change focus with shifting priorities
Internship program lasts 10 weeks, June 2nd - August 8th, 2025.
Schedule is Monday-Friday; 40 hours per week
In-office (East Hanover, NJ location), remote or hybrid schedule is available
Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa (e.g., H1-B, F-1 (OPT), TN, or other non-immigrant status).
Reporting:
The role will assist various in-house attorneys within the U.S.
Supervising in-house attorneys are primarily based in East Hanover, N.J.
Compensation
Pay Range: $1,400 per week
Compensation rates for Summer Interns is pre-determined and non-negotiable.
