This hybrid role spans both the Production and Order Fulfillment departments. The primary responsibilities include assisting the Production Manager with pre- and post-manufacturing tasks, such as preparing ingredients, operating machinery, and supporting the packaging process. Additionally, youll be responsible for fulfilling and shipping online orders from various e-commerce marketplaces like Amazon and Walmart, as well as traditional retailers.

This is an exciting opportunity to become a key member of our team and play a vital role in Essential Candys growth, with opportunities for future advancement within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry.

Production Duties Include:

  • Assisting in candy production

  • Preparing candy molds for production

  • Operating candy depositor and wrapping machines

  • De-molding candy

  • Post-production cleanup

  • Packaging candy

Order Fulfillment and Customer Service Duties Include:

  • Servicing existing customers and vendors

  • Facilitating e-commerce fulfillment for direct customer orders and various marketplaces

  • Order fulfillment for retail and online stores

  • Packing and shipping of orders

  • Inventory management

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Food Handler Certification for the State of South Carolina within 30 days of hire

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong determination and passion for helping others, with a positive attitude

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

  • Must speak English with good verbal and written communication skills

  • Food handling and/or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience is a plus

  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of cloud-based e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and Square is a bonus

  • Reliable transportation required

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

  • Some lifting required (up to 50 lbs)

  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment
