Thomas Reuters Electrician in Eagan, Minnesota

We are hiring Electricians for our printing plant team in Eagan, Minnesota. You will be responsible for providing electrical and mechanical support of electrical controls and mechanical systems for manufacturing machinery. For this role, you would also be eligible for a $2,500 sign-on bonus after your first 3 months (excludes internal employees). We have also increased the shift differential for 2nd shift to $4 per hour and for 3rd shift to $5 per hour. Hours of Work - Eagan, Minnesota 2nd Shift - 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm 3rd Shift - 11:00 pm - 6:30 am About the Role In this opportunity as an Electrician, your responsibilities will be to: Maintain, replace, repair, test or adjust electrical system components of a variety of electrical equipment and devices, within individual and site license scope. Work with and support Maintenance Technicians in the repair, adjustment, or calibration of mechanical systems and their control apparatus. Partner with other team members, engineers, contractors, etc., on the installation and maintenance of new equipment, plant layout revisions, and plant-wide continuous improvement projects. Perform and support diagnostics and issue resolution of individual and network device I/Os, PLCs, and associated hardware and software interfaces. Develop and verify electrical documentation for equipment, wiring diagrams, procedures and related data. Follow all safety rules and use of safety equipment to comply with state and federal regulations, report all safety and environmental hazards and attend safety and environmental training programs. Complete required annual continuing education commensurate with electrical license Complete repairs in a timely manner and follow-up with customers to ensure work was complete and effective. About You You're a fit for the role of Electrician if your background includes: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering plus some relevant work experience in an industrial setting OR vocational degree in an electrical or electro-mechanical discipline plus a moderate amount of relevant work experience OR significant relevant work experience performing industrial electrical controls troubleshooting and maintenance with minimum of a High School Diploma. Maintenance or Journeyman Electrician License would be a plus. PLC, network I/O and communication knowledge fundamentals strongly preferred Experience working in an industrial setting in a maintenance capacity with a wide range of production machinery is strongly desired. Skilled in maintenance and repair of industrial controls systems and in the use of common electrical test instruments Thorough understanding of electrical safety and safe work practices.
