Xylem Manager, Manufacturing Process Excellence in Durham, North Carolina

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:

  • Establish global standards, procedures, and processes for manufacturing transitions, including product line moves, facility startups, expansions, and consolidations.

  • Build comprehensive plans that incorporate input from operations, real estate, IT, tax, product management and other support functions.

  • Establish scorecard and review cadence for active manufacturing footprint initiatives to drive open communication and accountability .

  • Drive process standardization and adherence via established management cadence.

  • Provide oversight and guidance to execution teams globally, sharing best practices, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing excellence teams to develop and maintain a global manufacturing capability matrix allowing us to leverage competencies across segments and sites .

  • Maintain standard manufacturing strategy documents and tools in support of strategic planning and various other annual processes. This includes map of our global footprint, network transformation roadmap, capex and opex planning for long-range plans.

Key Competencies and experience:

  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in various operations roles is preferred, with proven excellence in project execution and a strong drive for results.

  • Previous experience with the execution of new plant launches, large production line moves and regionalization/localization projects.

  • Previous experience implementing lean management tools and concepts.

  • Ability to work across regions and cultures, with strong situational leadership skills.

  • Ability to influence others and strong change management skillset.

Qualifications: Education

  • Bachelor of science degree from an accredited university, or equivalent experience.

  • Background in Engineering, Supply Chain or Finance.

Qualifications: Skills

  • Ability to understand basic mechanical assembly processes.

  • Desire and ability to learn new tools, techniques with a strong sense of drive and ownership.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proactive approach to problem solving, able to actively showcase critical thinking.

  • Enjoys working collaboratively, can both lead and take direction.

  • Strong project management skills

  • Influencing leadership skills

Additional Information:

  • Role is preferred to be fully in-person or hybrid and must be located near one of Xylem’s manufacturing locations.

  • US Locations: Pittsburgh, PA, Morton Grove, IL, Waukesha, WI, Yellow Springs, OH, Raleigh, NC

Travel requirement:

  • 25% - 30%

Salary range:

$91,500.00 - $164,500.00
