[[Business Controller [[As a business controller, you will be a member of the Bavarian Nordic Noth America Finance team of six, with responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the U.S and Canadian financial management, including controlling, accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting. The position as business controller plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization through meticulous structured analysis and effective business partnering. You must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work well with people at all levels both internal and external. [[You will work in the Finance department within the Bavarian Nordic North American entity with 150+ employees; Bavarian Nordic is expanding in North America based on a growing vaccine portfolio and Bavarian Nordic has additionally done an acquisition in North America in 2023 and we are hence integrating additional activities, across commercial activities, Research, and clinical development, and hence further aligning tools and processes. As a business controller you will be an important part of our further professionalization within business controlling and reporting. You will report to the North American Finance Director. [[The Finance Department has a high focus on enabling commercial growth through financial transparency, structured financial processes, and compliant execution. You will join a highly motivated and energetic team in the company and Finance Department with high focus on employee development and Teamwork. You will have interactions across the Bavarian Nordic Finance Department with colleagues in Denmark, Germany, and Switzerland.   • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the North American performance, identify trends, and assess areas for improvement. This includes analyzing key financial metrics, variance analysis, and profitability analysis
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and providing explanations for deviations
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Ensure regulatory requirements
  • Maintain compliance with federal contracts by conducting U.S. Census and Federal Business surveys
  • Process improvements to constantly develop and solidify financial processes
