Assistant/Associate Professor in Ichthyology, Fish Ecology
Southeastern Oklahoma State Universitys Department of Biological Sciences invites applications for a tenure track faculty position in the area of Ichthyology and Fish Ecology at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The candidate will be expected to teach Ichthyology, Limnology, Fisheries Techniques (primarily field based), and General Biology. Additional courses may be taught within the candidates area of expertise. Candidates should have a background in Ichthyology (North American fish specifically), Limnology, and Fisheries field techniques. Applicants are expected to have a Ph.D. in Ichthyology, Fisheries Science, or a closely related discipline from an accredited university. This is not an Aquaculture or lab-based position. A one-year temporary masters level instructor may be considered.
The successful candidate must be committed to excellence in undergraduate education and teaching experience at the college level is preferred. Candidates should be able to show potential for engaging in a research program involving undergraduate and graduate students.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and rank. The anticipated start date is August 1, 2024. Review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
