Wells Enterprises Reliability Supervisor-DICP in Dunkirk, New York

  • Leads reliability initiatives in coordination with maintenance and other appropriate entities. Is responsible for review and enhancement of PM programs on manufacturing equipment and mechanical systems. Is responsible for reviewing PM documentation and accuracy. Drives predictive technologies including but not limited to condition based monitoring and inspections, vibration analysis, infrared technology, oil and lubrication analysis. Analyze, review and improve annual REO strategies. Supports operations staff in their process reliability efforts by providing them with technical expertise where necessary.

  • Drives root cause analysis processes to improve machine downtime. Understands mechanical systems and manufacturing processes at Wells Enterprises. Is prepared at production meetings with answers and facts on what took place. Communicates with all shift maintenance and production supervisors to ensure reliable start ups seamless shift changes.

  • Manages the work schedule of the employees for days worked and payroll. Schedules work orders and PMs to employees to ensure high department efficiency and labor utilization. Contributes to building the budget with manager and works to maintain the budget to ensure favorable results. Works to keep R&M within budget as well as manages the execution of REOs.

  • Demonstrates technical abilities of manufacturing equipment; is a technical resource for direct reports, internal and external customers. Ensures reliability of equipment and processes through driving and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Works with vendors and parts personnel to drive improvements to equipment through design changes and parts improvements. Works with engineering on plant projects and machine modifications. Follow industry technology and methodology advancements and assist in development of new and revised processes for the preventive and predictive and condition monitoring programs at WEI.

  • Works with maintenance technicians and maintenance supervisors and assists in ensuring line owners have accurate data and works well with operator as well as understands the importance of handoffs to ensure accurate documentation. Reviews downtime and CMMS data to investigate and look for equipment and downtime patterns uses the data to find more reliable solutions. Implement a predictive technology data base to: establish baseline data, trending of historical data to predict possible failures in the future, and establish links between types of technology data that will work together to give the best understanding of asset health.

  • Utilizes computer efficiently understanding Microsoft office, CMMS, Lawson, WHIMs, Oracle Apps. Has an ability to file and store electronic documents as well as keeping electronic documents up to date including RCAs, metrics, shift investigations, audits, and inspections

  • Builds capability of maintenance team by instructing and training on reliability methods and technologies to promote reliability centered mindsets. Mentors and coaches mechanics through on the-job-training, organizing tasks, and challenging the status quo. Utilizes the performance management process to effectively and consistently coach/develop the team while holding them accountable. Supports and administers the progression system in the department ensuring everyone meets the training requirements. Perform FMEA on targeted assets. Develops effective action plans to achieve positive business results as well as utilizes reliability tools like FMEA and reliability centered maintenance to develop strategies to increase asset health. Support and work towards the goal of certification as a Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).

  • Ensures compliance of the department for safety and code regulations including but not limited to Machine Guarding, Arc Flash, LO/TO, and OSHA regulations.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, other duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as dictated by business necessity. EDUCATION List the minimum education required to be qualified for the position, including certifications or licenses. Associate of Applied Science (A. A. S.) degree, equivalent technical school, or work experience. EXPERIENCE List experience preferred to be qualified for the position - 8-10 years previous industrial maintenance experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience with 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience. SPECIFICATIONS List specifications required for the job and indicate the importance and proficiency levels of each. * Knowledge - Thorough knowledge of the occupation hazards and corresponding safety precautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties at WDI. Knowledge and adherence to WDIs good manufacturing practices (GMPs) Knowledge of basic maintenance techniques including hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical. * Skills - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization Must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. * Abilities - Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions. Able to manage, diffuse and resolve conflict. Ability to lead and manage change. Strong mechanical aptitude and able to solve complex problems.
