Dundee Central School District District Data Coordinator/Engagement Specialist in Dundee, New York

The Data Coordinator serves as the primary data administrator for the District and works collaboratively with the Superintendent, administrative team and teachers to ensure timely administrative reporting, analysis, verification, input, and safeguarding of all district data and assessment results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain data (demographic, program service, enrollment, attendance, poverty, assessment, special education event, student contact and staff assignment) in the NYS Data Warehouse (Level 0)

  • Maintain course and staff data in NYS Data Warehouse

  • Maintain enrollment, program, course, teacher data in Student Information System

  • Verify data in the NYS Reporting System

  • Correct and verify data on a weekly basis in Level 0 to ensure data flow to Level 1

  • Analyze NYS Reports in Level 1 on a monthly basis (Disappearing Students, False Transfers, Simultaneous Enrollments and False Dropouts)

  • Meet with Principals and other administrators on a daily/weekly basis with regard to data errors/issues

  • Work collaboratively with EduTech to correct data errors on a weekly basis

  • Prepare data for the Teacher Evaluation System

  • Collaborate with Director of Technology and other district staff to develop, deliver and maintain data reporting systems

  • Recommend system modifications or revisions to facilitate improved reporting procedures

  • Address the reporting requirements of the NYS Educational Department, US Federal Government and other agencies

  • Respond to data requests from the Superintendent, and other administrative personnel

  • Foster positive relationships with support personnel at EduTech, surrounding school districts and NYSED

  • Observe teachers as part of the teacher evaluation system (In Support of Principals)

  • Serve as District Homeless Student Liaison (In Support of Director of Pupil Support Services)

  • Serve as District Homeschool Liaison

  • Support Principals with assistance in the APPR System (SLO calculations, Growth Score computations) (In Support of Principals)

  • Support Director of Student Services with assistance with NYS VR Reports (In Support of Director of Pupil Support Services)

  • Fulfill all other duties assigned by the superintendent

Job Qualifications

  • Must possess NYS Certification as School Building Leader or School District Leader.

  • Must have experience in planning, organizing, reporting and facilitating the use of data in the instructional operation of a school district or educational organization.

  • Must possess effective leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
