Job Title: Material Handler
Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, handling materials and supplies, assembling shipping crates, and using hand/power tools. This role requires experience in material handling and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording the location of inventory.
Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production and sales orders.
Maintain inventory accuracy when handling materials and supplies.
Receive credit-return material, verify materials and quantity; place materials in stock.
Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
Document product shipment by recording units shipped.
Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
Assemble shipping crates for finished products using hand/power tools.
Essential Skills
Experience with forklift operation.
Proficiency in material handling.
Ability to use hand and power tools.
Strong inventory management skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with hand tools and power tools, even if gained outside of a work environment.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
