Mission
Reeves Construction is currently in search of a Senior Corporate Accountant to join their team in Duncan, SC. The ideal candidate will have a BS Degree in Accounting or Business Administration and exposure to accounting practices and procedures.
Job Summary
Reeves Construction is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Corporate Accountant to join our finance team. As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, and supporting financial decision-making.
Main Responsibilities
Monthly and yearly financial reporting
Lease accounting
Leased assets journal entries and reconciliation
Cost coding monthly leasing invoicing
Provide analysis to other members of management vital to decision-making
Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Participate in bi-annual budget process
Constantly drive improvements to processes through automation
Required Skills
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Business with 3-5+ years of progressive experience
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (GAAP and IFRS)
Ability to learn a variety of systems with ease
Good knowledge and efficient use of entire MS Office suite of applications (MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS One Note)
Comfortable working with big data sets in excel-proficient excel skills (vlookups, sumifs, pivots)
Effective written and oral communications skills
Strong analytical skills/experience with accurate reconciliation
Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
Self-starter with the ability to adapt interpersonal styles and techniques to influence at all levels of the organization
Physical Requirements
Sitting: Spend extended periods sitting at a desk while working on financial records, analyzing data, or preparing reports.
Keyboarding: Enter data into computers using keyboards with accuracy and efficiency.
Gross Manipulation: Handle documents, files, and other objects, requiring hand manipulation and coordination.
Visual Demands: See details of objects up close (within a few feet) and understand spoken communication clearly.
Alternate Sitting or Standing: Utilize adjustable desks to alternate between sitting and standing.
Reaching: Reach overhead or at shoulder level to access files, shelves, or office supplies.
