DIVINE KONNECTIONS INC Asleep Overnight Staff (3 Open Positions) in Duluth, Minnesota

Compensation: $17.00/hour Expected Hours: 8am - 8pm, see schedule below Reports To: Housing Director __ We are currently hiring for the following overnight positions: Position #1: Every other Thursday Sunday Position #2: Every Monday Tuesday Position #3: Every Wednesday, plus every other Thursday Sunday Position Summary: The Overnight Staff plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed living environment for young BIPOC mothers and their children. This position provides overnight supervision, emotional support, and security while ensuring resident well-being during non-daytime hours. Staff are required to be awake by 7:00 AM to complete cleaning duties, assist with preparing the space for the day, and provide morning support to families as needed. _ Key Responsibilities: Resident Support & Safety - Conduct regular safety checks throughout the facility during shift hours - Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies or crises - Remain available for emotional support or crisis intervention if needed - Maintain trauma-informed and culturally responsive care at all times Morning Preparation - Be fully awake by 7:00 a.m. to assist with morning house cleaning and preparation - Support residents in preparing for appointments, school, or daycare - Maintain a calm and structured morning environment Household Oversight - Perform light and deep cleaning tasks in common areas and shared spaces - Report maintenance or safety concerns to appropriate staff - Monitor supply needs and restock when necessary Policy & Rule Enforcement - Enforce house rules respectfully and consistently - Address behavioral issues in alignment with DKI values - Maintain healthy boundaries and confidentiality with all residents Documentation & Communication - Log nightly activities and resident concerns - Write incident reports when necessary - Communicate essential updates to daytime staff via written or verbal hand-off On-Call Responsibilities - Take part in the rotating weekend on-call schedule (every 4 6 weeks) to manage after-hours urgent issues or emergencies Training & Professional Development - Attend scheduled staff meetings and quarterly trainings - Engage in ongoing learning around trauma-informed care, de-escalation, and culturally responsive practices _ Benefits (health, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, HSA) are available for full-time employees only.
